From Ratnapura and Beruwala to the trade.

Pure Avi Gems trades from Ratnapura and Beruwala, Sri Lanka, and we have been doing business for years — the gem city inland and a coastal gem-market town on the south-west shore.

Who we are

Pure Avi Gems trades as the partnership G.H.S Enterprises, exporting rough Ceylon sapphire and garnet parcels and cut gemstones from Sri Lanka for cutters and dealers. Our trading bases are Ratnapura and Beruwala, where gem dealing has been part of daily life for generations.

Ratnapura

Ratnapura sits in Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka — long known as the country’s gem city, with mining country, dealers, cutters, and brokers meeting to sort and move sapphires and other Ceylon material. That inland setting is one half of how Pure Avi Gems works: careful parcel work grounded in the mining and dealing heartland.

Beruwala

Beruwala is a coastal town in Kalutara District, Western Province, Sri Lanka — known for its beach and as a popular holiday destination, as well as for harbour life and long-standing trade. Those in the stone trade know it as one of the country’s established gem-market towns, where dealers, cutters, and brokers have long met to sort and move sapphires and other Ceylon material. Together with Ratnapura, that mix of mining country and coast is the backdrop for how Pure Avi Gems works: careful parcel work, direct conversation with buyers, and a pace that respects how this trade has been done for years.

Years in the trade

We have been doing business for years — building relationships with cutters and dealers, learning parcels by hand, and shipping rough and cut Ceylon sapphire and garnet with the same care we expect when we buy. The partnership G.H.S Enterprises holds business registration certificate WP/COL/DP/2026/00281 (Western Province). Registered address: Mahasinghe Road, Hohandara East, Sri Lanka — while our trading bases remain Ratnapura and Beruwala.
